EVERYTHING STARTED WITH SUGARCANE
El Punto Sandwich Cafe is more than a Puerto Rican SANDWICH SHOP, we’re on a MISSION to INSPIRE PROGRESS and FAITH by sharing our family’s rich history rooted in sugarcane and community.
OUR RICH HISTORY
1913 Arturo Lluberas founds “La Central San Francisco,” the largest privately owned sugarcane plantation in Puerto Rico
1928 Arturo Lluberas becomes Governor of Yauco and a grand philanthropist
1967 Stephanie, Arturo’s great grand-daughter, becomes the first female surf champion of Puerto Rico
1977 The sugarcane plantation closes and the family goes from generations of prestige and wealth to slowly losing it all
2016 Cristina, Arturo’s great, great granddaughter and her husband Omar start an equipment business by selling a refrigerator they found in the trash
2019 The couple opens El Punto Sandwich food trucks in Kissimmee, Clermont, and later in Davenport.
2021 The couple opens El Punto Sandwich Cafe in Kissimmee, Florida to share their family’s rich history and to spread a message of progress and faith with the community
We promise to treat you like first class even though we’re just eating sandwiches. We promise high quality meats sliced daily and fresh bread baked in our cafe each morning. We live here too and want you to leave feeling inspired to “Sembrar Pa’ Cosechar.” To come back not just when you’re hungry for a Tripleta sandwich, but when you’re hungry for progress, community, and faith.
Enjoy a huge selection of hot sandwiches prepared the moment you order with homemade pan sobao and pan de agua that we bake each morning. You MUST try our famous Tripleta which is piled high with the highest quality pastrami, shredded pork (Puerto Rican style), and ham sliced daily.
Have some fun with friends and family when you order a legendary coffee with inspiring art printed on top! Expect to be blown away by our coffee because we only use the most iconic coffee known for its rich creme, strong aroma and excellent medium roast. It has been Puerto Rico’s #1 coffee for 100 years and it’s from Yauco – the town that Arturo Lluberas governed and loved so much. Now THIS is REAL coffee!
Our pastries and cakes are baked each day under the supervision of our pastry team, who only use the best ingredients that will make you feel back at home. Our quesitos are usually the star of the show and once you try one you’ll understand why. Our pan sobao and pan de agua are also family favorites! Swing by and try it for yourself.
